La principal característica del Pomeranian es que se trata de un perrito muy pequeño, de tamaño mini, oficialmente la más pequeña de las razas nórdicas. A pesar de ello, es un animalito repleto de energía, atlético y ágil, que guarda una gran fortaleza en su cuerpo compacto. Tiene un aspecto perfectamente proporcionado y esbelto, con patas cortas pero robustas, y una cabeza de tamaño medio y un poco afilada, que hace que su aspecto recuerde levemente al de un zorro. Destaca también en su rostro una expresión siempre alerta y vivaz, gracias a sus grandes y oscuros ojos, perfectamente colocados a ambos lados de su corto hocico. Las orejas son triangulares y se encuentran en la parte alta de la cabeza, siempre en punta. Llama también la atención su cola, no demasiado larga, que siempre lleva enroscada sobre la espalda.
The main characteristic of the Pomeranian is that it is a very small, mini-sized dog, officially the smallest of the Nordic breeds. In spite of this, it is an energetic, athletic and agile little animal, which keeps a great strength in its compact body. It has a perfectly proportioned and slender appearance, with short but robust legs, and a medium-sized and slightly tapered head, which makes its appearance slightly reminiscent of that of a fox. Its face also has an alert and lively expression, thanks to its large, dark eyes, perfectly positioned on both sides of its short muzzle. The ears are triangular and are located on the top of the head, always pointed. Also striking is its tail, not too long, which is always curled over the back.

Tamaño/Size of the Pomeranian

Como ya hemos visto, el Pomeranian es un perrito muy pequeño, que alcanza aproximadamente los 15 o 20 centímetros a la cruz, siendo uno de los 10 perros más pequeños del mundo. Su peso acompaña a su tamaño, y es que este perro pesa entre 1,5 y 3,2 kilos, de ahí que sea tan fácil de transportar en brazos o de cualquier otra forma.
As we have already seen, the Pomeranian is a very small dog, reaching approximately 15 to 20 centimeters at the withers, being one of the 10 smallest dogs in the world. Its weight goes along with its size, and this dog weighs between 1.5 and 3.2 kilos, that is why it is so easy to transport in arms or in any other way.

Es el clásico de las razas nórdicas, largo, muy denso y mostrado en dos capas. Durante la época de muda, pierden la capa interna, por lo que es necesario cepillarlos con más frecuencia para evitar problemas o enredos. En cuanto al colorido, estos perros admiten una gran variedad de tonalidades, como rojo, anaranjado, blanco, crema, marrón o negro. También es posible encontrar ejemplares con más de una tonalidad, con manchas en algunas partes del cuello o en forma de collar alrededor del cuello.
Is the classic coat of the Nordic breeds, long, very dense and shown in two layers. During the moulting season, they lose their undercoat, so it is necessary to brush them more frequently to avoid problems or tangles. As for the coloring, these dogs admit a great variety of shades, such as red, orange, white, cream, brown or black. It is also possible to find dogs with more than one color, with spots on some parts of the neck or in the form of a collar around the neck.
